This healthy apple crisp recipe is just divine, with the slight tartness of the apples and the crunchy, cinnamon-y goodness of the topping.  You will not believe that it is vegan, gluten-free, and low sugar!

Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 5-6 apples
  • 1/4 c allulose
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Crisp Topping

  • 1 c almond flour
  • 1/2 c walnuts
  • 1/3 c oats
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 c maple syrup
  • 1/4 c coconut oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Peel and thinly slice apples.
  • Toss apples in allulose.
  • Sprinkle vanilla on top of apples and toss again.
  • Fill 8 x 8 baking dish with apples and set aside.
  • Mix dry ingredients for crisp topping.
  • Add wet ingredients and mix. Make sure all dry ingredients are coated.
  • Distribute topping over apples in baking dish.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes.

Notes

Keep an eye on this as it is in the oven.  If the top starts to brown too much, simply cover the entire dish with a piece of aluminum foil until it is finished baking.  This will prevent further browning.
