Happy New Year everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and were able to spend some quality time with family and/or friends. We had a great time visiting family, and the kids had a blast playing with grandparents and cousins.
It’s always nice to get home, though. My kids are so little that traveling, no matter how fun it is, is pretty overwhelming. So, they were more than ready to be home and back in their normal routine. I love the normal day to day routine too, although, I now feel like I need to reorganize my entire house, in order to get all of the new stuff put away. Good thing I enjoy organizing….and reorganizing. I feel some new posts coming on. 😉
Anywho, let’s get on with the party. We have all chosen two features this week, since we took such a long break over the holiday. So, enjoy all of the new year inspiration!
The party starts on Fridays 7am EST or 11 am GMT and runs until Tuesday. By joining us every week you will be able to grow your blog and gather inspiration from so many others who link up to our party. We hope you will join us every week to share and inspire with your projects and creations.
I need to try this technique. I think it would be perfect on furniture surfaces or trays. Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S gives us a full tutorial.
Look at those mason jars! They are so cute!!! For sure I’m going to try this next Christmas. You can find step by step instructions at Mason Jar Crafts.
I absolutely love the way this drop cloth tree skirt turned out. According to Lisa from the Purple Hydrangea, it was a bit of a pain to put together, but I think it was well worth it!
I love using my slow cooker, especially in the winter. It makes cooking so easy! So, I love these ideas from Patrick over at Looney for Food for unexpected slow cooker uses. I’m definitely going to be trying a few of these in the very near future!
Naush @Doodle Buddies shares four ways to alter glass bottles! Just perfect for upcycling those throw-a-ways anytime of the year!
Maya @ The Little Treasures shares her awesome crochet techniques in a tutorial for making a beautiful flower edged scarf! Great for gift giving or just making one to wear! Now, if only I could actually learn how to crochet!
After the holidays I hate to remove everything and leave a bare house. It makes me so sad. This epsom salt luminaire idea by Mila of Mila’s Little Things, is great! It has a sweet wintery feel and it makes the home feel warm and cozy.
I live in a house with lots of small rooms so when I saw this post by Kathryn of the Dedicated House, I knew it was perfect for me. I need all the help I can get to make my rooms look larger!
Our most popular post this week was from Angela at Simply Beautiful by Angela. She shows us how her Christmas decor changed over four years in her old house. I love this post because sometimes progress is hard to see in the moment, and it’s not until we look back that we realize how far we have come.
We would also like to give an honorable mention spot to Danielle from A Sprinkle of Joy. She has been updating us every week on her pregnancy journey, which has been so fun to watch. She had her baby just before Christmas (yay!), and we can’t wait to hear more!
