10 Creative DIY Gift Ideas
As a crafter and DIYer, I sometimes give handmade gifts to family and friends. I like handmade gifts as a giver because they are fun to put together and generally budget friendly. I also enjoy handmade gifts as a receiver because I know the time and effort that went into creating them.
With Christmas fast approaching, I thought I would round up some creative DIY gift ideas for you, in case you are wanting to get crafty this season.
These gifts range from easy to make to more moderate skill required. I’ve gathered everything from cocktails to yarn bowls. (Don’t know what a yarn bowl is? Read on to find out!) There’s something for everyone on this list.
Carmen from Gross to Grandiose has put together this adorable Mason Jar Christmas Potpourri. It’s a fantastic way to get your house smelling festive this holiday season. It is also very simple to make. So, do what Carmen did and whip some up for your neighbors.
Christine from My Kitchen My Craft has put together a fantastic Christmas Cocktail Gift Basket. She has also included the recipe for a Peppermint Blizzard Cocktail. You had better believe that the ingredients for this little drink will be on my next shopping list!
I am loving these DIY Christmas Hand Towels from Laura over at Mom Envy. They are perfect for that someone you know who loves to cook and spend time in the kitchen.
I love a good coaster, and this set from Amy at 1905 Farmhouse are no exception. She’s provided us with the simple tutorial for how to put them together.
Here’s another set of DIY Ceramic Tile Coasters that I put together myself. This is seriously one of my all time favorite craft projects, and I have given quite a few sets of these away in the past.
I’m a sucker for succulents, so I absolutely love this Succulent in Seashell that Leen and James have created over at Sand Dollar Lane. I’ve never seen this done before, but I think it’s a fantastic way to display your succulents.
These Magnolia Inspired DIY Bookends from Lidia at Design Inside the Box are stylish and functional. They are also quite easy to make, so make sure you check these out for the book lovers in your life.
Toni over at Girl, Just DIY made this amazing little DIY Yarn Bowl for her mom. I had never heard of a yarn bowl before seeing this, but I think it’s brilliant. Be sure to check out her tutorial for how to make one.

What a lovely collection Amy.. Those succulents in a seashell <3 <3 <3 and your succulent coasters. I remember those. Now if only I can find some time to make them all before Christmas arrives. Oh wait I can do some for Mother's Day and Valentine's Day and……… Okay I think I've got this
