Well, it happened. This past weekend, my son turned 1. I now, officially, have a toddler on my hands.
When kids are really young, people often tell you, “This is such a fun age.” I don’t think I was really able to appreciate this with my daughter. I think I was too wrapped up in worrying and parenting and everything that goes with it. But this time around, I can definitely agree that this IS a fun age. He is learning so much, and growing so quickly!
We kept it simple and just had a few friends over for dinner and cake and ice cream. Everyone, including the kids, had a great time!
And now, we’ve come to Friday again. You all know what that means…
The party starts on Fridays 7am EST or 11 am GMT and runs until Tuesday. By joining us every week you will be able to grow your blog and gather inspiration from so many others who link up to our party. We hope you will join us every week to share and inspire with your projects and creations.
I’m loving these gorgeous, decorative metal garden planters that Serena over at Thrift Diving made for her front porch and the tutorial is so easy to follow too. I can’t wait to try make something similar for our garden.
I am a pumpkin person but not in the usual way! This black Rose pumpking caught my eye. It is so bold and beautiful! For the how to make a similar one Erlene from My Pinterventures has a detailed tutorial.
Pancakes are big at my house. I frequently make and freeze pancakes for an easy and fast breakfast. I love being able to provide a homemade breakfast for my kids, and they LOVE pancakes. So, I can’t wait to test out this recipe from Rose Bakes for buttermilk pancakes. I have a feeling it’s going to be a huge hit around here!
Would you believe this lovely piece of jewelry is made from a cookie tin? Stop by to see how Crafty Hope altered tin into this beautiful pendant!
I’ve been thinking of redoing my living room. Well actually doing it is more like it since it really isn’t done yet. And these great ideas for displaying art from Carol of Comfort Spring really caught my eye for that wall above the sofa.
And our most popular post this week goes to the talented Ash and Eileen from Just Measuring Up. They provide some great tips for how to transform a room in your home into something you absolutely love. Be sure to stop by!
