Hello, August! And hello to unusually cool temperatures. I can’t believe our high temperatures have been in the 80’s here in the mid-South during the first week of August! It’s crazy, but we are certainly enjoying it. We have been squeezing in as much outdoor time as possible.
Those of you with kids at home are probably preparing for all things back-to-school. And today, as part of the Spectacular Summer Blog Hop, we have a fellow mom who is in the midst of these preparations herself. She is sharing a cute and easy craft that you can get your kids involved with and that could potentially be useful for those hectic school days.
If you have landed here for the first time this summer, welcome to the Spectacular Summer Blog Hop! I have teamed up with 10 other fabulous bloggers, and we have been sharing our own projects and inspirations all summer long. Every Monday and Thursday, you can look forward to recipes, crafts, DIY projects, and more. And we still have one whole month of fun left!
As I just said, today, Janine from Confessions of a Mommyaholic is sharing a fun chalkboard that she decorated with her girls using washi tape. I love washi tape, and just recently used it for a craft of my own. The hardest thing about washi tape is deciding which patterns to buy at the store. They are all so cute!
I love the idea of using a chalkboard to help prepare for back to school. It could also be used during the school months for all sorts of things. My own daughter is not yet old enough to be headed to school, but I will definitely be keeping this in mind for the future.
We learned a little bit about Janine just a few week ago when she shared her Gummy Bear Popsicles with us. Let’s find out a little bit more about this super fun mom.
What is your favorite summer drink?
Coconut Margarita would be my summer go to drink.
Choose a movie title for the story of your life.
I would choose a show actually and it would be, “This Is Us”.
Would you rather see the sunrise or sunset?
Sunset as I am not a morning person at all!
O.M.G. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a coconut margarita before. You can bet that I will be looking to get my hands on one as soon as I am no longer pregnant, though!
Be sure to stop by all my co-hosts pages, as everyone is sharing different fun facts about Janine today.
