Hey, hey! It’s Monday! Are you suffering from the Monday blues? Well, get ready to turn that frown upside-down. We are back with another fantastic installment of the Spectacular Summer Blog Hop. Whoop!
I have teamed up this summer with 10 other fabulous bloggers to bring you inspiration every week, twice a week. We’re sharing everything from recipes to DIY projects to party ideas and more. So, be sure to stop by every Monday and Thursday to see what we have in store.
Today, Sue from A Purdy Little House is providing a recipe for watermelon mojitos. Seriously, they look so delicious I can hardly stand it. Fortunately for my pregnant self, she has included a kid-friendly (i.e. non-alcoholic) version. Yay! And you can bet I will be enjoying this fun little refreshment as we start to get into dangerously high heat indexes here in the mid-South. With only 6 ingredients (5 for the kid-friendly version), they are not only super fun, but easy to make as well. (And, I’ve never heard of watermelon soda before. So, my interest is totally peaked.) Don’t these look amazing.
Such a fun drink must surely come from a fun individual. Here are a couple of fun facts about Sue.
Why did you start blogging?
We moved into our very dated 1970’s home in 2012, and I started to slowly tackle projects big and small around the house. My blog is a way for me to chronicle how far we’ve come with our home and to showcase some of my favourite holiday decor, tablescapes and DIY projects.
What is something you learned in the last week?
That a lily pad produces a fruit. Lol. I was helping my youngest daughter with a school project.
